GCSE Drama Year 11 Exam showcase
Year 11 GCSE Drama students at The Boswells School performed to a public audience last night when they staged their exam showcase.
Friends, family and peers watched their Unit 3 performances as ‘a work in progress’ before their exam in about one month’s time.
There were two very different pieces - ‘The Investigation that Goes Wrong’ and ‘9:03pm’, both of which have been devised from scratch by the students.
One piece was a comedy based on what can go wrong in a theatrical production and the other was a darker piece focusing on the struggles of coming to terms with homosexuality in a highly religious family.
Head of Drama Laura Willcox said: “The students performed well and we received some very positive feedback as well as developmental ideas for the students to use to improve their pieces before the examiner visits in February.”
