Performance by BTEC Performing Arts students
Year 12 Performing Arts students at The Boswells School performed two intense and contrasting pieces to an audience as part of their BTEC course.
Both pieces showed the students' ability to adapt existing material and present it in a unique way through the use of highly complex acting and dance techniques.
The first piece, entitled ‘Widows’, by Ariel Dorfman utilised choral speaking, movement and singing whilst the second incorporated the music of The Rolling Stones and was a high energy dance interpretation of Christopher Bruce’s ‘Rooster’.
Both gave scope for the audience to feel part of the performance through the staging and performers use of focus.
