Entertainment and host of stalls set for Christmas market
A variety of entertainment and almost 70 stalls will be in Epping High Street for the town council-organised Christmas Market on Friday, December 7.
The stalls will be selling Christmas crafts, gifts and food with the event running from noon until 8pm.
The entertainment programme starts after 3.30pm following the official opening by Town Mayor councillor Nigel Avey.
Music will be provided by choirs from local schools as well as an adult choir, local bands and children’s groups.
The Town Mayor will switch on the lights on the 25ft Christmas tree on the Piazza during the event (exact time to be confirmed).
Santa will be visiting Epping Fire Station from 4pm while there will also be visits from reindeer, 'Olaf' from Frozen, and a Town Crier.
There will also be face painting, and a snow globe will be on display.
Limited free car parking, courtesy of Epping Forest District Council, will be available in the Cottis Lane car park from noon on Friday, December 7.
The Christmas Market is run alongside the Christmas Tree Festival at St John’s Church which opens at 1pm on the Friday and continues on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday
