Year 5 pupils experience dance workshops
Forty boys from Year 5 at Perryfields Junior School, Chelmsford, spent a morning dancing as cowboys as they took part in a boys' dance workshop led by the Boswells School's Head of Performing Arts Paul Butler.
The workshop was part of the Performing Arts Faculty primary school provision which sees teachers from the dance, drama and music departments visit the local primary schools and offer workshops to encourage the students' interest in the Arts and have fun.
Mr Butler said: "The boys worked hard for the two-hour session and created a three-minute dance which saw them leaping, jumping, spinning and posing as cowboys.
"The boys also got to create some of their own material and fully embraced the challenge - and didn’t want to go back to lessons when the session finished!
Boys at Barnes Farm School, Chelmsford, took on the challenge this week.
Mr Butler said: "Well done and thank you to the Perryfields and Barnes Farm Year 5 boys and teachers for supporting the workshop."
