RECAP|Scaling Up in Asia with Innosuisse Market Entry Camp

RECAP|Future with 5G and AIoT

swissnex China hosted a joint lecture with nihub, an Innovation Center & Startup Accelerator and Incubator with its founder and CEO Lucas Rondez, on the Future Impact of 5G & AIoT. Two keynote speakers – Qian Hao, Founder of Taro.AI, and Sergio Medyk, Product Line Manager at Nokia China offered their insights on these two interconnected fields. RECAP|swissnexDay’19: Using Space Tech for a Sustainable Future

swissnexDay 2019, held at EPFL on the subject of space technologies and sustainability, attracted a large turnout. Under the title ‘Earth’s Guardian: Using Space Tech for a Sustainable Future’, the international event focused on how space applications (can) contribute to a more sustainable future on earth, which was kicked off by State Secretary Martina Hirayama and Marc Gruber, Vice President for Innovation at EPFL. Learn More ➠

The “Shanghai International STEAM Education Promotion Conference” meant to promote the “didac China International Education Fair”, which will take place on May 18-20, 2020. STEAM Education is a learning approach that uses science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics to engage students in critical thinking. swissnex China seized the opportunity to give a short presentation on the outstanding Swiss education system. Learn More  ➠

RECAP|Creative Hub & Yangtze River Delta International Cultural Industries EXPO 2019
November 22-23|Shanghai

Swiss non-governmental and non-profit promoting platform Creative Hub was invited to the Yangtze River Delta International Culturual Industries EXPO (YRDICIE 2019) to be one of the keynote speakers, introducing the creative industry landscape in Switzerland. RECAP|Future Lab: Forum on Non-trivial Relations Between Arts, Design & Sciences
November 25 - December 1|Shanghai West Bund Artistic Center

Supported by Pro Helvetia and West Bund, Future Lab Expo took place at Shanghai West Bund Artistic Center, which includes art exhibitions, lectures, workshops, performances, and forums. Among the speakers, we had Monica Bello, curator and head of arts at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Cern), Geneava, Switzerland to discuss the connections between frontier art and experimental science along with other renowned speakers. Learn More  ➠

PARTNER|Future Food Fellowship Postdoctoral Programme by ETH Zurich and EPFL

The Future Food Fellowship is a postdoctoral programme of ETH Zurich and EPFL for exceptionally qualified young researchers who propose projects targeting future food issues. The fellowship provides research funds for three years, enabling fellows to work on their projects and collaborate with Swiss industry partners. Topics on plant-based proteins, digital technologies for food design, sustainable packaging and microbiome are prioritized. The submission deadline is March 31, 2020. Learn more  ➠
