The Innovation Fever Continues to Spread Fast in China!

Since the beginning of the year, we have received visits of over 20 Swiss startups interested in further connections to China. Some came to visit potential partners while others joined an investment workshop (as the video below presents) we co-organized with sinonex, a group of Chinese tech entrepreneurs based in Zurich. If you are new to do business in China, please don't hesitate to contact Ms. Lijun Zhang, our Project Leader Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to get our advice. For June, we are looking forward to a busy month with visits from Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW sabbaticals, Ms. Anne-Catherine Lyon (State Councilor of Vaud) and student or executive groups. Meanwhile, we are planning a tour for Chinese investors and innovators in Switzerland. Stay tuned with us!

How We Assist University of St.Gallen Gaining A Full-Scale Presence on Chinese Social Media
University of St.Gallen (HSG) started their first "digital step" in China with us by participating in a pilot project in 2012. After experiencing with Sina Weibo for more than three years, HSG now goes on WeChat - which makes them become the first Swiss university that fully embraces Chinese social media. Starting from this month, you will find the lastest update about HSG through our WeChat official account - in Chinese!

How We Explore and Engage With Our Community
We have facilitated a meeting between Basel University Hospital and Shanghai Huashan Hospital during SEBP 2016. A preliminary negotiation of future cooperation has been reached after a smooth discussion.
VR, robots, and more - check this fun video to have a glimpse of CES Asia this year (if you have problems viewing YouTube video, please click here). Or, read more about how Justin, our junior project leader, enjoyed this event.
Prof. Martin Tauber, Rector of Universität Bern and Philippe Roesle, Project Manager of swissnex mobile visited us. Few meetings were organized to help them explore opportunities with our local partners.
During Swiss Week this year, we had the chance to gather our Swiss universities and schools alumni together again - to enjoy some Swiss cheese and wine to toast on the coming summer.
Collaboration with Science & Technology Offices in Northeast Asia
We have seen a growing interest from our Swiss stakeholders in discovering digital innovation and medtech in northeast Asia. Among larger companies, the management board of La Poste visited three cities (Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo) in a week of learning and discussing collaboration with innovative companies. Both Science & Technology Office in Seoul and Tokyo have built up a large portfolio of activities and strong teams to explore their rich ecosystem.
