Preparing For The Busy Spring

Our Year of Rooster started with preparing delegation visits and projects coming in spring and summer. We will organize lectures on "Doing Business in China" and company visits for EMBA from Fribourg School of Management HES-SO and ETH MAS for their learning modules in China. At the same time, Dr. Felix Moesner, who will start on August 1st as the new CEO of swissnex China, visited Shanghai and met the team. We are in a smooth phase of leadership change and we are always ready for any requests from our stakeholders.

Following the success of the past three editions of venture leaders China, venturelab and swissnex China are happy to announce the fourth edition of the program in 2017. In June, a unique 10-day business development program will help the selected 10 high-tech startups to explore the Chinese market, and presents various opportunities to showcase Switzerland as a leading country for innovation.

Kickstart Accelerator 2017 Call for Applications

Deadline April 30th 

Kickstart - The Swiss Accelerator, is calling for international startups in the sectors including FinTech, Food, Robotics & Intelligent Systems, Smart Cities, Healthcare for their 2017 program. Once selected, the startup will have direct access to over 15 leading corporate partners, top-level mentors, and experts, and will get the chance to win up to CHF 25’000. In 2016, the Chinese startup SuRong 360 won the first prize in the category FinTech. Apply now on their website.

The Swiss Venture Capital Report is the reference publication for investment in Swiss start-ups. The annual report provides an analysis of the financing rounds, a list of the investments and an overview of the most important exits. Download it here
New Master’s program in Applied Computational Life Sciences at ZHAW

Designed for Bachelor's graduates in a Life Sciences or related discipline, the program will focus on the big data and the participants will acquire skills in processing and analysing data of various sizes and levels of complexity. Details here
EPFL “Launching New Ventures” Online Course Launches in China

For the first time, a Swiss university is launching an online course in Mandarin, targeting the Chinese audience. Students can enroll to “Launching New Ventures” for free through Coursera and will have the option to pursue a verified certificate. The course starts on March 6, details here
