venture leaders China 2017 Is With Us Now

Landed in the early morning of June 26th, the venture leaders China 2017 team started their breathless business roadshow in China. After the welcome event in the afternoon to meet with local entrepreneurs, the team was warmly welcomed by the Swiss Ambassador to China, H.E. Jean-Jacques de Dardel in the Swiss Embassy. Invited guests from local industries and investment community showed great interests towards the technologies and products presented by the venture leaders. During the reception, they also met the Swiss State Secretary Mauro Dell'Ambrogio, who was invited by the Vice Party Secretary Huai Jinpeng of Tianjin, former Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, to attend the World Intelligence Congress and "Summer Davos" - the World Economic Forum in Dalian.

"The early bird catches the worm!" Day 2 started at 4am. The team headed to Tianjin for the Sino-Swiss Business Roundtable at the World Intelligence Congress to present Swiss innovation technologies. In the evening, they arrived in Dalian, to join the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in the World Economic Forum until June 29th.

On June 28th evening, our Swiss national startup team pitched against each other during the Swiss Incubator event, and got all the attention from a big group of international audiences. Lunaphore, a company focusing on tissue diagnose won this competition.
More pitching contests are waiting for them in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. To let you be part of one of those inspiring pitch presentations, we plan a live broadcast of the Hong Kong pitch event via Facebook. Sign up now so you won't miss it!

While our venture leaders are in China this week, a Chinese delegation from Suzhou International Science Park visited the Startup Space in Zurich. The Park is the National Scientific Enterprise Incubator of China and one of the most dynamic and matured ICT clustered hi-tech parks of China, where 600+ ICT companies and 20+ accelerators are located. In July, thanks to a successful trip last year, the Swiss Post will come back to China to meet local startups and to discuss potential collaborations. It is obvious that the exchange between China and Switzerland in the field of innovation has reached a new level. swissnex China will keep "connecting the dots" and bring valuable services to our stakeholders in both countries.
