RECAP|Venture Leaders Fintech Hong Kong
November 3 - 9 | Hong Kong and Shenzhen

Led by swissnex China and Venturelab, ten selected top Swiss fintech startups participated in the 6-day Venture Leaders Fintech pitching roadshow in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The startups were connected with local multi-$B investors, mentors, experts, business partners over an astounding 12 pitching sessions (on the iconic red-sail Aqua Luna and on 100F of the International Commerce Centre) as well as participation at the Hong Kong Fintech Week with a one day ecosystem visit in Shenzhen.  Learn More ➠

RECAP|Semiotics through New Media Art

For the eleventh Café des Sciences, we have Andreas Gysin, Swiss artist, residency artist at Chronus Art Center and Pro Helvetia, thoroughly went over his creations involving “found geometry” and urban signage systems, showing his interpretations as well as reconfigurations of the “signified” and the “signifier”. Learn More ➠

RECAP|Photo-Synthesis Exhibition @ TASIES 2019

Along with Presence Switzerland and the Embassy of Switzerland in China, swissnex China is pleased to support the Photo-Synthesis Exhibition, a poetical series of artwork created in collaboration between Neuchâtel-based Compáz and artist-photographer David Hartwell. The artwork illustrates the parallels between photosynthesis and the photovoltaic installation’s ability to generate electricity. Learn More  ➠

Junipr Project Manager - Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Nan is a Master student at the University of Lausanne majoring in Information System. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Management at the Faculty of Business and Economics in HEC Lausanne and did one-semester exchange in China at Zhejiang University. She speaks both Chinese and French as her mother tongues and English fluently. As an innovation and new technology aficionado, she participated in various innovation related projects during her studies. In her spare time, Nan is working on a MedTech project with her team member and wish to launch her own startup in the future.

Junipr Project Manager - Science Outreach & Diplomacy 

Nicole is a Swiss citizen born in Baltimore, USA in 1995. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree of science in Biomedicine at the University of Zurich. Nicole is passionate about science, research and its development around the world. She further brings experience in research and event organization as well as a strong interest in novel technologies. Her mother tongue is German and Swiss-German, she also speaks English and French. During her stay in Shanghai she plans on learning Chinese. In her free time, Nicole does athletics and enjoys travelling as well as exploring nature.

PARTNER|2020 Summer Undergraduate Research Programme in Biological Sciences, University of Lausanne 

The English-taught 8-week programme aims at introducing Bachelor-level students to the world of biological and biomedical research: students will be each integrated in a different experimental research laboratory of the School of Biology. It will host around 15 participants from around the world. A full scholarship toward tuition costs, living expenses and justified travel costs will be awarded to all selected participants. Learn more  ➠

PARTNER|Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance, University of Geneva

The 10-month programme in cooperation with the United Nations Office at Geneva aims at transferring knowledge about European and international governance. It specifically addresses students and professionals who have obtained a Bachelor or Master degree and are either working in a Ministry, non-governmental organisation, a private company or any other entity dealing with international affairs.
