Life outside the box
While many of us have spent the past quarter of a century in traditional lawyer roles, some of us have taken our legal skills in a different direction. Enjoy these journeys of two classmates who followed their passions beyond the customary practice of law. |
|
|
|
Diane K. Danielson
Chief Operating Officer, SVN International Corp.
"Although the practice of law was not hardwired into my DNA, the education, experience, friendships, and sacrifices made, helped me pursue a variety of professional interests, excel in my career, and even smash a few glass ceilings along the way."
Diane knew from the very first day of law school that the traditional practice of law wasn't where she wanted to land. Read her wild post-graduate ride and how she found the right home for her. |

|
|
Peter Mancusi
Executive Vice President, Weber Shandwick
"I work at the intersection of law and communications, providing counsel for corporate clients, organizations and individuals facing all kinds of reputational issues."
From copy boy to editor at The Boston Globe, Peter went to BC Law to merge his passions of law and journalism.
Take a ride with Peter on his journey from writing obits at the Globe to managing communication crises in a 24/7 media world at a leading global public relations firm. |

Be in our reunion class book
BC Law is celebrating our 25th Reunion with a special class book for us!
Only three reunion classes will receive a class book, and our class is one of them! The class book has been well received by prior reunion classes and is a great way for us to reconnect and stay in touch.
The only way to be in the book is to submit a profile and photos. Don't miss out!
Here's a peak at prior BC Law reunion book profiles for inspiration:

Professor Spotlight
Professor Bob Bloom
In the late 1960s, then student Bob Bloom entered BC Law on a mission to earn a law degree so that he could help the underrepresented. Bob was able to pursue his mission by participating in BC Law's then innovative clinical program, Legal Assistance Bureau.
A half-century later, it comes as no surprise to us that Bob has spent almost his entire career at BC Law promoting social justice by teaching courses and supervising students in BC Law's ever-expanding experiential learning programs. Read more about Bob.

This year our amazing law school community raised $1.73 million for the Law School Fund, exceeding the amount raised last fiscal year! Thanks to the generosity of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, this money will provide much needed support for financial aid, public service stipends, faculty research grants, and more.
