Favorite Memories

"1L Contracts with Dean King; all of us from different backgrounds just figuring out how to be a law student; good times."

~ David Marrone

Professor David King

David King passed away in 2016, following a valiant battle with cancer. Professor King joined the faculty of UB in 1978. He was associate dean for the law school for 24 years and its interim dean from 2000 to 2002. Professor King truly loved teaching law, and his passion for it and his students was clear to anyone who walked into his classroom.

He is interred at Arlington National Cemetery and is dearly missed by the UB/Quinnipiac community. Read more about Professor King's life.

"My favorite overall memory has to be graduating with my newborn son in my arms."

~ Michele Mount
Michele with her son, Dylan, at our graduation. Fast forward 25 years: Dylan, now 25 years old, with Michele's daughter, Jessica (19), a sophomore at Bucknell University.

"I have numerous fond memories, and I'm thankful for all of the support our professors provided."

~ Nate Shipp
Nate and his sons. (If Nate is 6 feet tall, what does that make his sons?!)

"My favorite memory was discovering that the law school was NOT going to be bought by the Reverend, like the rest of UB was; rather, Quinnipiac picked us up, our serious investments of time and money were not going to be lost, and it was all downhill from there—in a positive way."

~ Nancy Rose
Nancy and her wife, Wendy, on their wedding day.
