Downtown Start-Up Pitching at Google

A Downtown Bismarck based company has been selected by Google for Entrepreneurs to pitch at Google Demo Day at their headquarters in April.  CoSchedule, housed with start-up Todaymade, will have the opportunity to impress top investors in the country.  They were selected after being one of the top two winners at CoCo Minneapolis' pitch night in January.  CoSchedule makes a WordPress editorial calendar for users.  The team will be one of only a handful to get this opportunity in 2015.  Wish them luck as they represent Downtown Bismarck in California!

The main level is currently occupied by the Toasted Frog and Sweet Treats Bakery. Renovations are said estimated to complete in the Spring.

Downtown News

The Senate Bill 2329 has passed the ND Senate, allowing expansion on the maximum number of blocks allowed in the State's Renaissance Zone Program to 49. Smaller Communities would also have increased maximums based on population. Bismarck's Renaissance Zone Program has proven successful and provided a large return on investment. Since inception there have been 107 approved projects that will show a property value increase of over $47,000,000.  The bill now goes to the House for consideration.

The Downtown Parade Route may change to avoid crossing the train tracks on 5th Street to reach the Kirkwood Mall. The potential new route would loop starting at the Capital grounds at Sixth Street and Boulevard Avenue, south to Avenue A, west on Avenue A to Fourth Street, north on Fourth Street to Boulevard Avenue, and finally east on Boulevard Avenue to Fifth Street on the Capital grounds.  BNSF Railway notified the City of Bismarck that it will be limited to its abilities to stop its railway network due to increased traffic and tighter freight schedules. The City will reach out for neighborhood input on the proposed new route.
