The Year of the Goat
A frenzy of poetry, music, song and philosophy rang out at the party on the last night of the Advanced Hua Forms retreat . In the entrance hall at St Katharine's of Parmoor, Henly-on-Thames, and under the flickering firelight in the great hearth it was easy to feel the energy and experience the "joie de coeur" after such a powerful retreat. More and more Zhixing is reminding us of the need to "open the heart" in order to be able to receive the transmission and achieve the flowing Qi quality which eliminates stagnant and discordant energy. We were certainly expressing some of this nature in the joy and self expression which flowed forth on that late November night.
Below are a few notices this month to draw to your attention.

Internal Alchemy at the Solstice
That time of the year is again approaching where we find ourselves on the cusp of the rebirth of a new cycle. This is an important annual time, when the yang energy returns and we get together wherever we are in the world, to meditate in the ancient Daoist way of Internal Alchemy with Zhixing. Further details will be sent nearer the time; this one is not to be missed!
New DVD: Higher Standards of Health,
This new DVD released is one of a series of talks with strong transmission, (given by Zhixing a few years ago) on the standard of health which from the Hua Gong point of view is more refined than what is normally accepted.
Qi Sword practice on Saturday evenings of the London Weekend.
All our Qi Sword enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that Zhixing intends to continue
with this practice on the Saturday evenings in 2016. So, do bring your sword and keep strong in the practice.
Qi Calligraphy for the month of December
Below is a Qi Calligraphy from Zhixing and some words of wisdom for the month of December. As instructed before it is important to tune in and receive the transmission.
Xing Yun / Floating Clouds
"This a poetic image often used in the Daoist expression to symbolise a non-attached free and enjoyable state. It is a visual illustration of the Daoist concept 'Xiao Yao' (free and enjoyable') Being beautiful to watch, clouds are also admirable in their boundless free manner of coming and going, appearing and disappearing, inspiring humans to follow their examples. "Enjoy"!
Please keep in touch and let us know how you are progressing in your practice . The new year brings new opportunities to progress and develop and to continue to strengthen this powerful pre natal connection.
Below are a few words from a student who attended the Advanced Forms and who wished to express
his appreciation of the practice.
The Valley Spirit
The valley spirit never dies
It is the woman, primal mother.
Darkness within Darkness
The gate to all Mystery
The nurturing energy of the past week has been described
more than once as Love, clear and honest. That love was generated by a family brought together not knowing which brothers and sisters were going to turn up when we all arrived home.
I can still remember the first time I picked up the Tao Te Ching
and read the first lines….
"The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao
The Name that can be named is not the eternal Name."
What more did I need to know?
Quite a lot actually, I have since found out.
The path that connects desiring the Manifestations and letting that desire go to experience the Mystery is a difficult one and best accomplished with a guide..."
Thank you Nick for this contribution...
It is the beginning of the festive season and with a lot of rushing about and happy celebrating ahead of us, we can still take time to tune in and connect.
May we take this opportunity to wish you and your families all bright Blessings and an abundance of Joy during the month of December.
