The Year of the Horse

June 2014

Greetings Subscriber
We have just returned from a wonderful Qi Sword Retreat in Dartington, Devon and  it was all it promised to be!  Glorious weather, a lovely new venue  and most of all an extremely strong Qi Sword  transmission.  Many of us experienced the transformation and the sheer beauty and power of the Hua Gong Qi Sword Form, which leads us to embody those qualities of uprightness, flexibility and inner grace.

Below is a Calligraphy from Zhixing and some words of wisdom on   the Sword Gong as we can all benefit from the transmission whether we have taken a Sword retreat or not.

"Qi Sword: This is a sketch that catches the spirit of the Qi Sword movements or poses.  The starting point of the Qi Sword is to activate the Qi of the sword which in turn activates the Qi of the body.  Then the sword moves by itself and the body follows.
The picture gives the impression of the all well guarded, rooted, sparkly, lively and forceful motions and postures when dancing with the Qi Sword.
These qualities of the Qi Sword apply also in other Qigong practices."
