Year of the Dragon!
The last Hua Gong weekend in London for 2012 is approaching as is the Winter Solstice. It has been an eventful year of the Dragon and a powerful one too and it is not over yet!
We have seen an upgrade in all the Hua Gong practices, and the emergence of the latest advanced Hua Gong Form and meditation postures. These are the Shen collecting walks and the meditation hand mudras which are so effective.
These Forms are taught at every class and retreat and have powerful and almost immediate transformative effects.
Please make note in your diary for Sunday December the 2nd when we have our usual end of year gathering at 4pm at St Charles 6th Form College. All students and friends are welcome, so please drop in if you are in the area. it will be good to celebrate with Zhixing and Zhendi and all the students attending the London Weekend. There will be Calligraphy's to view and experience, and Puerh and Green Tea to enjoy as well as great company!
Winter Solstice Meditation
The Winter Solstice falls on the Friday the 21st of December and Zhixing will be doing the traditional Internal Alchemy meditation between 11pm and 1am on that auspicious night. All students from around the world gather together to tune in with Zhixing and do the Internal Alchemy meditation at this powerful time. You may tune in by relaxing into meditation, or by using the DVD, whichever makes it easier for you to connect to this experience. Further information will be sent out before the 21st, and it is good to commence the Internal Alchemy meditation each night from now on.
Calligraphy Image "Dan"
The Calligraphy image for this month is called "Dan" the medicine elixir. We are advised to meditate on the image as if the image is staring at us. It will initiate a consolidation of energy in the lower dantian (three inches below the navel), and will help strengthen the kidney energy. This is so important as our reserves of strength and energy are called on to sustain us during the winter's dark months ahead.
Dan: "The ideal of an elixir pill for immortality was called Dan, and was extended to mean the light pearl that can be cultivated at the energy centre(s), and along the energy channels through the Daoist Internal Alchemy practice. The Dan is a result of highly concentrated energy in the body and it reflects the cosmic light. The experience of the Dan in the body is considered as an advanced level of Daoist practice which leads to vibrant health, long life and often extraordinary energetic and spiritual abilities."
