Spring 2015
The Year of the Goat

Greetings Subscriber

We say goodbye to the outgoing year of the Horse, and welcome the Chinese New Year of the Wooden Goat on February the 19th.  This is the Lunar New Year day or Spring Festival and is a time for celebration, meeting with family and friends, and for sharing.. It falls on the 2nd new moon after the Winter Solstice and heralds the beginning of Spring, and the upthrusting long awaited Yang Qi energy.
This new year holds the promise of a greater sense of optimism, flexibility and progress and with our practice we can align ourselves to the cosmic rhythm and life signal of the universe.

Zhixing often refers to the primordial, prenatal power which gave us life as a  "Life Signal"coming  from the cosmos. This "living Signal" is more powerful than anything we can do in a personal  way to upgrade our energy and our health.  We need to align ourselves with it and remain in a "Signal active" state in order to be nourished at the root level and  be transformed.    When we do our Hua Gong practice. we can activate this signal and  connect to that original life energy which is inexhaustible....

When we are initiated into Hua Gong, we can activate the code for connection by doing the practice.  Luckily for us the power of Hua Gong can bypass our normal mindset of uncertainty and lack, and can exert a wonderful transformative effect so long as we do our practice...

Calligraphy of the Month.  Spring...
Tune in and receive the transmission.
Below is a Qi Calligraphy from Zhixing for the month of February.  It is possible to tune into the embedded Transmission by looking at the image and responding naturally.  You may begin to feel the energy, the rising joy, the warmth or even a change in breathing.  Emotions may also arise, or a desire to move--all or any of these signal that you are connecting to the pre natal Qi energy.  So tune in and see what you can experience.

Chun/Spring:
In deep winter the Spring is just around the corner.  Preserving our Qi can help us to keep warm in the cold season.  Spring is the reviving season for all lives.  In the old text on Internal Alchemy practice, Spring is often used as the analogy for the revitalizing Yang Qi in our body.  So Spring in this context can be explained as warm and lively Qi.
