The Year of the Goat

July 2015
Greetings Subscriber
After a prolonged cool spring these wonderfully hot, languid Summer days are just so welcome.
Recently Zhixing reminded us of the enduring and positive  benefits of the Qigong state.

The more we are in this state, the more   insubstantial and lively we can become;   additionally we are also physically stronger, more supple, flexible, and have more mental clarity.
Though our mind is tranquil, we are simultaneously in a focused, "collected " state, and we receive energy and  information directly from the Cosmic Qi.

We may say under these conditions, that each of us has our own "Inner Teacher".  We will become aware of the correct course of action to take to answer our own unique  health needs.  After that it is a matter of how much practically we as individuals can realise.
The "Way" is unlimited and by following it we can truly reach our own best potential.

Below is a Qi Calligraphy from Zhixing for the month of July.  We are advised to tune in to it, meditate or practise with it and note any energy responses.  It is aptly entitled "Coolness".

"In the heat wave of midsummer, however welcomed, some coolness might be needed.  Though we cannot change the weather we can change our own state of being.  In the Qigong tradition there is a saying which goes: "If the heart is still, you will feel cool." Or similarly "Stillness leads to coolness". With Qigong practice we are more able to adjust ourselves to be more adaptable to the external changes, therefore we are less bothered by cold and heat.  This ability is one of the many 'Gongs' that we cultivate."
As part of the quality of Zhixing's Calligraphy it is possible to experience a sense of cool air coming out of the page towards you.
