Happy New Year
We trust that you have had an enjoyable festive time with your family and friends over Christmas and the new year, and that you are looking forward to another year of practice and nourishing Qi connection.
The meditation at the Winter Sostice was very powerful and many of us have reported on how strong and uplifting the energy was. It was a great esperience for us all to come together in meditation at this special time, containing as it does the seed of the energy to come.
Below is a Calligraphy from Zhixing and a Blessing too. As always we remind ourselves that the best way to benefit from the Qi Calligraphy is to imagine that it is looking at us and to respond to it naturally as we feel inspired.
The Qi Calligraphy and the words of Blessing from the ancient book of the Yi Jing will support us throughout the coming year.
Heavenly Protection: "this is a statement from one of 64 GUA of the Yi Jing , an ancient book of divination, meaning: "Protection from the Heaven (bless those who receive it) to be prosperous and auspicious with no harm (can be done upon them)'. This is the verse in calligraphy form used in the Hua Gong Blessing Card.
As the new year 2013 is upon us, this piece of calligraphy feels to be appropriate as a message to everyone who receives the news letter, wishing you a safe, successful and happy year ahead."

The London Hua Gong Weekends 2013
.The London monthly Hua Gong weekend course is the most regular and systematic Hua Gong class available.
Over more than twenty years, it has created a place to connect and tune to the cosmic Qi -- prenatal life energy and information from which we receive life nourishment and spiritual inspiration.
Most of the discoveries through the way of Hua Gong on the human body and energy, on health and illness, on rejuvenation and longevity, and on spirituality have been shared in these weekends.
It provides the most detailed Hua Gong teachings on the fundamental level and represents the most updated Hua Gong transmission in terms of the ‘Qi field’ (the overall sensation or experience of the energy effects in the group), techniques and information.
In this class, the focus is simple yet profound: Internally we cultivate the Dan – the highly concentrated Qi energy that can be experienced as a bright pearl rotating in the body, and externally we express inner beauty and power through artistic movements.
The practice of doing so is like watering and nurturing our life from the root, leading to a flourishing life on all levels and aspects.

Qigong, Hua Gong and the prenatal Qi
Though the approaches and styles in Qigong are countless, there are basically two groups in the practice: the prenatal Qigong which bases its practice on connecting to the life creating cosmic Qi for life preservation and spiritual realization, and the postnatal Qigong which focuses on exploring the inner energy of the human body for greater skills and abilities.
Hua Gong is a Qigong approach or style that works on the prenatal level for good health, longevity and spiritual realization. It is a living and on-going practice based on the connection with the primordial cosmic Qi. Connect and stay in tune is the essential practice. As a result, we discover how our body and energy work, and how human life works.
Based on discoveries of this nature, we practise to cultivate natural and healthy habits of our body and mind, and explore greater capacities.
Realization of a true human state can become a real experience.
“The Dao is near and straight forward while people often search elsewhere for complicated solutions. “ (Lao Zi)
May we take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Happy New Year, and a wonderful year ahead full of Qi, Strength and Inspiration!
