Greetings to one and all!

As we welcome the  Chinese New Year of the Metal Rabbit.  It is also known as the Lunar New Year, because it falls on the 2nd new moon after the Winter Solstice.

The Element scene now is that  of Earth and the awakening of the Fire energy.  It is traditionally a sluggish time of the year,  with the dark winter nights, and short days, but the Chinese New Year marks the transition to early Spring and the celebrations bring excitement and vitality.

For those of us who have learned the 5 Animal Hua Gong, February is the time to practice the Tiger form to awaken our own internal fire, power and strength, and to align ourselves with this cosmic tide.

Themes from the January Hua Gong Weekend London

The teaching and transmission this weekend had a special focus on manifesting the "results we are meant to achieve" as well as good Qigong practice.

Earthing and drawing back our scattered energy into the body.  As we become adults, our energy may often be in a chaotic state, it does not have an orderly code and vital energy is scattered.  The body feels fragmented. This can be clearly observed with Qigong perception.

Separating Yin and Yang and unifying them.   The heavy energy is attracted to the earth, and the vital energy is freed up. Many exercises in Hua Gong are useful for this, and the Fundamental Hua Gong forms, works very powerfully on this aspect.  Unless our energy is harmonized in this way, our energy "signals" do not attract the best results for us, rather our disordered energy state leaves us unprotected and as Zhixing says vulnerable to "virus" like information.  This separation of Yin and Yang is fundamental to our progress.

Quote "Light is blocked by shadow, heat is covered by damp and our energy is not free". This is an unbalanced energy state

Developing the internal Qi structure  within the physical body, until it is fully integrated with the physical body.  Then "Heaven and Earth meet in harmony within the body".  A more child like, Buddha like state of energy emerges. (child like, meaning supple, strong, rejuvenated and full of vitality).

Thus, we receive the Blessings of the Heavens and are nourished from the Root or Source of all energy.
