Year of the Dragon!

Greetings Subscriber
The Dragon, a mythical creature, powerful, lurking, mysterious and magical,we experienced it all on the recent Cloudy Dragon Retreat.  Many of us emerged with a deeper insight into this advanced practice and a vision to  continue with the "Dragon Walk" a set of Hua Gong movements so potent in aiding us with restoring our connection to Source.  It was and is simply wonderful.
There is a poem  by one of us at the end of this Newsletter which may help us to capture the emotion and power of it all.

We will be celebrating the Harvest Moon Festival  around lunchtime on Sunday the 7th of October at the London Weekend.  We will have Moon cakes and Green Tea to enjoy.  So if you are in the area please try and come along if you can.

Below is a Calligraphy image posted by Zhixing to help to attune us to the practice during the month of October.  As many of us know it is an effective way of receiving Qi transmission by looking at the Calligraphy image and sensing and responding to the effect.  Please see Zhixing's words below.

Zhen Ren
Zhixing  says " "Zhen Ren meaning a True Human Being is a Daoist concept to describe a realised human being. As the term indicates, it is believed in the Daoist philosophy that everybody can be a realised being if he or she is able to maintain the original quality or nature of a human being, which is illustrated by the ideology of a baby.
A baby contains the full capacity of the life energy needed for human life and its energy body n physical body are fully together. A well cultivated human being should maintain these qualities through his /her life, manifest equal amount of energy n capacity in different stages of life, and live healthily to the end of his/her life.
It sounds simple, but just imagine the differences of the essential qualities between a baby and an adult easily observed, we will realise its not that simple. It takes a lot of wisdom and practice to achieve. Zhen Ren is often portrayed in classical literature as living in the mountains, travelling around and helping people with his extraordinary abilities in healing, medicine, arts, fighting, predicting and so on."

Important Date for your Diary
Fundamental Hua Gong
October 13th-14th
Dartington Hall, Devon
Booking: Brad Richecoeur Qigong Southwest 0845 3305086

This weekend will provide an excellent opportunity for those who have already learned and wish to practice Hua Gong to reconnect with our teacher Zhixing Wang, and to receive empowerment and instruction from him.
The weekend will work on three levels:
Firstly, to connect to and absorb the primordial cosmic Qi or the original Qi of life. Just as plants are nourished by the earth, our human lives need to be nourished by this life sustaining Qi. With Zhixing’s presence and instruction, it is like a live channelling of the life nourishing Qi.
Secondly, to practice the internal alchemy method to centre our Qi to the Dantian (centre of our energy and physical body) and Zhong Mai (the central Qi channel along the front of the spine). This will result in profound transformation of the way we are.
Thirdly, to practice some essential movements and stepping for the actualization and expression of the internal effects. This method of stepping has been described as the latest concise and comprehensive Hua Gong Form.
This weekend is only open to those who have already studied with Zhixing or other Hua Gong instructors.
Times: Saturday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., Sunday 10.00 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Accommodation is available at Dartington Hall or in local B&B's

The London Hua Gong Weekends 2012
Theme:  Internal Alchemy and External Expression
Date: October 6-7
St Charles 6th Form College, St Charles Square W10 6EY
The London Hua Gong monthly weekends will continue to transmit the cosmic Qi-the life nourishing energy described in the classical literature as "Mother Nature's Milk", and to "live broadcast" spiritual information.
This is like receiving direct instructions from the Dao of Nature, and we continue to get closer to the standards required by the practice and continue to refine our skills as practitioners.

Retreats 2012
October 27-Nov 2  Turtle & Snake Henley-on-Thames

Qigong Story Time
Below is a poem by one of our students after attending the Cloudy Dragon retreat.

With you, Cloudy Dragon,
I am losing my fear.
I wish, you were always near,
near to me down by the sea,
where I still live looking up for the ONE cloud to appear
So long, my dear,
so long

If you see me cry,
don't worry
These are grateful tears
With every drop I will learn to fly,
fly high, very high,
to catch you up in the sky
and play with the cosmic spheres.

No matter how often I miss you, mess up and fall,
I will stand up and try again,
because you showed me the way
and I am brave,
I will follow your steps
whether being close or far away
the pulse of my heart shall belong,
Be long

For as far as I can see
this is true long lasting love
the only ONE I have ever known
So long, Beloved.
