The Year of the Dragon

Greetings Subscriber
The New Year celebration at the February weekend was a great success, and we thank all who helped to make it so.  Zhixing did a Calligraphy of the Dragon and we all experienced that stirring and vivacious energy.
The month of March also is a Dragon month and the Wood energy is rising.  Now is the time to concentrate on our Fundamental practice and balance our internal organs.
Zhixing has given us the Hua Calligraphy this month for meditation and concentration on.  The Qi Calligraphy  contains a transmission power and meditating on the image will have energetic effects.  It can also act as a visual mantra. His words of explanation are below.

"Hua, transformation integration liberation. The process of Qigong practice is essentially the process of energy transformation: Gu (food and drinks) transforms into Jing (essential fluid/water), Jing transforms into Qi (essential air / fire / heat) Qi transforms into Shen ( spirit/light), Shen transforms into the insubstantial, and the insubstantial merges into the Dao...
Hua is the essence of Qigong practice, and the core of body - energy - spirit interconnection. ...Hua Hua Hua "
Zhixing

The London Hua Gong Weekends 2012
Theme:  Internal Alchemy and External Expression
The London Hua Gong monthly weekends will continue to transmit the cosmic Qi-the life nourishing energy described in the classical literature as "Mother Nature's Milk", and to "live broadcast" spiritual information.
This is like receiving direct instructions from the Dao of Nature, and we continue to get closer to the standards required by the practice and continue to refine our skills as practitioners.

The Updated Hua Gong Forms

The approaching Hua Gong Forms retreat this year will be quite a new experience for those who have already attended it. It is Ideal for new students and practitioners alike.
We will practice the Forms designed on three levels with clear focuses.
On the Jing or physical level we will focuse on nourishing the internal organs with the hands on body methods.  These techniques which have been less practiced on the Forms before are most effective for improving our internal energy in a soft yet powerful way.

On the Qi level we will practice the Qi form with more interaction between participants and out in nature with trees etc. (weather permitting).  This can activate the vibration and circulation effectively and enjoyably.
On the Shen (Body Light) level the the Shen CollectingFform will be integrated with the most updated walking form which is both simple and complex.

Hua Gong Story Time

Rhett is a new student to Hua Gong and has kindly contributed his story to this month's Newsletter.

"Since first being introduced to Hua Gong through Zhixing's CDs and Dvds I felt an instant connection with the Qi.  It was an immediately familiar emotional and physical response which while exciting and fresh, felt n many ways like going home.
Due to my medical condition naturally I have  focused on personal healing, and have been using, on a regular basis Zhxing's CD of the 1 0 0 technique for meditation and relaxation.. From the first time I used this technique my experiences have been profound, intense at times; but undoubtedly positive and enlightening. I feel blessed that I seem to have made such a fast connection with Qi energy, allowing me to feel that I am gaining huge benefits from this technique.
My experiences with this have been different every time, except on one occasion when I was reflecting  that each use of 1 0 0 had produced such different physical and emotional responses, and as if in answer to this, (almost as a wish being granted) I found myself entering a state which can only be described as a physical expansion out into the space around me.
My whole body felt huge as if my chest was the size of a beer keg and my hands were inflated, akin to a cartoon character. I can truly say without hyperbole that this  was the most complete and sublime physical response I have ever experienced.
I was fully aware of my surrounding to the extent that I stopped the audio, as I knew that after a short time, Zhixing would be bringing me out of this state to a more alert and awake state by reversing the numbers. I cannot say for certain how long this meditation lasted but it was sadly interrupted by a phone call (I must remember to unplug the phone) However this experience has had a lasting impact upon my practise.
Giving me the confidence to trust in both Hua Gong and Zhixing, without the need to answer the many questions I have, but instead to trust that by continuing my practise questions will be answered.
One of my overarching feelings regarding Qi Gong, is that I feel immersed in it, rather than it being something that I have tacked onto my life.
I truly feel that Hua Gong is now guiding not only my recovery, but also many different areas of my life, and I can say with absolute honesty it has already began to make me a better human being."
