The Year of the Red Fire Monkey

February 2016
Greetings Subscriber
With the 2nd New Moon after the Winter Solstice (on February the 8th) we will be saying goodbye to the dignified Goat year and welcoming in the the Chinese New Year of the Red Fire Monkey.  Symbolizing as it does, irrepressible curiosity, creative energy and vitality, we can say that we are on the cusp of an interesting year ahead!.
The themes of "connection to the Source" through various gestures, opening and releasing the heart centre to receive the Transmission, and Internal Alchemy meditation to cultivate the "medicinal elixir"are strongly aspected this year.

New Moon Internal Alchemy Meditation
February the 8th between 11pm and 1am.

This is another potent in between time to do the Internal Alchemy meditation and it will be especially powerful to meditate with Zhixing on New Moon.  He has advised that we meditate as often as possible throughout the month, but this time has a special emphasis. Please either tune in, use the Dantian Meditation DVD, or view the footage on You Tube entitled "Daoist Internal Meditation with Zhixing Wang". Meditation on the New Moon with extra energy transmission will be an added feature and it will be fortuitous for us to establish a solid Internal Alchemy practice this year.

Calligraphy of the Month
Below is a Qi Calligraphy from Zhixing for the month of February.  Please tune in to this and  observe any changes such as activation of your own Qi energy.  A feeling of warmth, circulation and a sense of joy and well being are all good indicators that you are responding to the embedded Qi.

Hou / Monkey:
Here is the "Monkey",  for the year of the monkey is approaching.  Monkey is agile, intelligent, playful and joyful.  It is one of the five animals recognised for its sacred quality in the Five Animal Qigong.   Monkey also often symbolises the untamed mind which is jumping all over the place and is in need of discipline.  Enjoy the freedom we can have over our life and restrain when needed. Have a joyful year!

The Monkey
The Ninth Sign of the Lunar Cycle

I am the seasoned traveler of the Labyrinth
The genius of alacrity
wizard of the impossible
My brilliance is yet unmatched
in its originality
My heart is filled with potent magic
that could cast a hundred spells
I am put together
for mine own pleasure

(Theodora Lau)
