Holiday Greetings from the Studio!

I've been a bit distracted from my usual painting routine. During the holiday season, there is always too much to do, leaving little time to paint. The same four unfinished paintings greet me every time I walk into the studio, as I try not to get too anxious about the lack of progress. And now there is a new distraction - a foster bunny:)

This stray bunny was in the animal shelter lobby for about a month, becoming more stressed, fearful and hiding from public view. Last Saturday when I walked past her cage, I noticed her adoption fee had been waived - she was now "free". This was just too sad - so she came home with me, to spend the holidays in the studio, alongside Chelsea and Chive, where she can settle in and overcome some of her anxieties.

Her shelter name (Freckles) just didn't seem to  fit her, so I've been thinking about a better name. Yesterday, while looking at the painting "Nosey Nellie", I decided her new name should be Nellie, or even Nell - although right now she is more of a nervous Nellie than a nosey Nellie :)

When January rolls around and I get back into my painting groove, Nell will definietly be featured in a painting - and I expect that Kat von Cupcake will come up with a very fun poem to hang alongside her portrait!

Website Change

My website is moving to a new server, and the address will change to www.danafeagin.com. By January, everything should be in working order, but currently, you see this somewhat misleading message when you visit danafeagin.com. There are no big changes, just a new address for the same website :) In the interim, www.inspiredpetportraits.com is operational.
