Help shape the Water Benefit Standard: Public consultation
The Water Benefit Standard is open for public consultation only until January 1, 2015. Your input will influence the way critical water projects are designed, monitored and certified for years to come – with important implications for the world’s watersheds and the local people and biodiversity who inhabit them. If you have an interest in maximizing the impact of global water projects, please take the time to share your expertise to improve the Water Benefit Standard.
We’re now accepting expressions of interest from those who would like to be among the first to develop Water Benefit Standard projects – under either new or existing methodologies. The Standard goes live post-consultation on 1st February.
We are now scaling the Water Benefit Standard with new methodologies now in development:
Drip Irrigation--With Coop Group, ClimateCare, and Jain Irrigation Systems
In-field Rainwater Harvesting--With Danone, Oxfam, and Nova Institute
Water Retention Basin--With Coop Group and Aquasis
Look for more details about these new methodologies and pilot projects in the coming weeks at goldstandard.org.
