Center for Engineering in Cancer Takes Off!

This year IEM appointed Nicole Steinmetz, a professor of Nanoengineering, and Ezra Cohen, a professor of Medicine, as co-directors for the Center for Engineering in Cancer. Steinmetz was recently awarded 2 R01s totaling $4.3M to advance their research of plant virus nanotechnology for breast cancer and melanoma therapy.

Juliane Semponatto Selected as Innovator Under 35

Juliane Semponatto, an UC San Diego nanoengineering alumni and Siebel Scholar, has been selected as one of 35 innovators under the age of 35 to be featured on MIT Technology Review's Innovators Under 35 LATAM (Latin America). Congratulations Juliane!
