OPALs, The Shimmering Next Generation
This summer, IEM launched the Outreach Program for Advancing Learning in STEM (OPALS) in transition from the Biophotonics Outreach Program. Dr. Linda Shi spearheads the six week program for pre-college students to gain hands-on experience in a research laboratory environment.

The 4D Nucleome Network aims to understand the principles underlying nuclear organization in space and time, the role nuclear organization plays in gene expression and cellular function, and how changes in nuclear organization affect normal development as well as various diseases. The 4DN data portal hosts a variety of data generated from sequencing and imaging-based assays, with an emphasis on data from chromatin conformation capture (CCC) techniques and more recently multiplexed FISH imaging experiments.

New Prize opportunity for early-career scientists interested in the study of cell-cell communication.
