Cotswolds District Council - on-air surgery for businesses across the Cotswolds
Business Forum on
Cotswold Radio started with a clear vision of a radio station that would inform and entertain during lockdown and beyond.
In March, we focussed on the needs of the communities in Northleach and Bourton on the Water, where fears and concerns were rife in a period of considerable uncertainty for friends and families, jobs, and businesses.
While many fears and concerns continue, we broadcast a range of shows designed to keep residents and businesses entertained and up to date.
To maintain our commitment to inform, we have linked up with Cotswolds District Councillor Tony Dale, to provide an on-air surgery for businesses across the Cotswolds.
Initially broadcasting twice weekly, starting on 29th October, the programme will be hosted by Tony, who is Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills. A panel of knowledgeable and informed guests will respond to questions about the recently launched £54 million CDC Recovery Investment Fund, as well the difficult decisions faced by company owners with the end of furlough and the start of the Government’s Job Support Scheme.
Tony and his guests share our vision of being a positive source of reliable local information to support businesses across the Cotswold as we all move forward in the next phase of the new normal.
Cotswolds Radio, a not for profit company, has a new home in The Old Prison on the Fosse Way, with a fully equipped studio. This allows us to present live broadcasts with fully protected guests and add yet more presenters and programmes to inform and entertain across the Cotswolds and beyond.
Future newsletters will provide even more information.
County Councillor Paul Hodgkinson presents his first programme on Cotswolds Radio on Thursday 15th at 4.30 pm. He and his guest, Jenny Forde. Cabinet Member, Cotswolds District Council will answer questions on current affairs throughout the Cotswolds. Email them on firstname.lastname@example.org.
