2. Internship Opportunities at Medzan Training -£75 per month for expenses

About the Internship Opportunities: We are currently offering internship positions to 2 young people, aged 18 to 30. Successful applicants will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with our dynamic, City-based startup, and work on our events, including a briefing to be held in the City on 12th July 2016.

Duties will include using social media to promote our events and raise awareness of our training courses, collaborating in the organisation of our events including setting up training sessions for schools, universities, professionals and business people.

Ideal Candidate’s Requirements:  You will need to be a savvy and enthusiastic user of social media, especially Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Excellent IT skills, as well as fluency in English, will be highly appreciated.
Days, Times, Duration and Other Details: There is total flexibility in terms of days or hours of work, and no requirement to come to the office, as the interns’ main duties will be online. We will offer successful applicants £75 per month for basic expenses such as light refreshments and phone calls. The duration of the internships is 2 months. There is a strong possibility of paid positions at the end of the programme.

4. Washington DC Conference on Chinese Infrastructure Engagement in Africa -Call for Papers 
The China-Africa Research Initiative (CARI) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) announces a call for papers for its third annual conference and researchers' workshop: "Chinese Infrastructure Engagement in Africa."


The conference will be held at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Washington DC from Thursday, October 13 to Friday, October 14, 2016. 6. Teaching Associate in African History -Cambridge University 
Applications are invited for a fixed-term (15-month) replacement teaching position in African History. We invite applications from outstanding historians with specialist expertise in any region, but with wide knowledge of African history from c. 1500. The post is tenable from 1 October 2016 to 31 December 2017. The appointee must hold a PhD or equivalent, and will be an outstanding researcher in their field.

8. Fully Funded 3-Year PhD Scholarship Position at the University of Amsterdam for Nigerian Students 
Call for applications, for qualified Nigerian candidates for a fully funded 3-year PhD scholarship position at the University of Amsterdam. PhD supervision will be provided jointly from Amsterdam and Modibbo Adama University of Technology in Yola.
The PhD forms part of a larger comparative study that will be funded through the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, Division WOTRO
The application deadline is the 22nd of JUNE 2016. The planned start date for the PhD is September 2016.
