Happy Friday! I just finished up two talks at the Design Up conference today. It’s been a day full of some great UI animation chats here in Bangalore.

This week’s issue features a couple of neat SVG tricks, cute animals, and some nice motion graphics work. It’s a nice collection of things to end your week with.

Until next week,

- Val

p.s. Replies go straight to my email and I read them all. I’d love to hear about what you’re working on.

I don't think I will ever tire of WebGL liquid distortion effects. Dragging to control the page transitions makes them more interesting too.

Quick Tip: Slice SVG Text in a Pattern
A handy demo from Craig Roblewsky that shows you how to slice or shatter SVG text by making it a pattern element.

Border radius morphing
Believe it or not this is made with borders, not SVG.

Flocking behavior
Flocking behavior is so fascinating to watch. This tutorial walks you through how to create some neat flocking behavior with JavaScript.

Only two more conferences left on my schedule for this year. 2018 has gone so fast! If you’re at one of these too, come say hi!
