Happy Friday! This is a first for me, I’m writing this issue on a plane as I head home from Design Matters in Copenhagen. (I, for one, am still amazed by internet on planes.)

We’ve got a good mix of things in this week’s issue. Everything from creative link hovers, to a walk cycle, and some neat motion graphics work too.

Until next week,

- Val

p.s. Replies go straight to my email and I read them all. I’d love to hear about what you’re working on.

Exoplanet Explorer #dzy

This one is very space-y and 3d as you might expect from the name. The glowing planet transitions and the glitchy type animations are nice details.

E4 Ident Building
A neat motion graphics piece featuring bright colours and tiny characters building up a logo by Alex Grigg. The soundtrack really brings an unexpected feel to this piece too.

A different kind of character walk cycle animation by Betül.

Credit card payment form
A sophisticated payment form that animates to show your card type as well as where to find the info it needs by Adam Quinlan.

Plasma ripple mouse
Make ripples in flowing rainbow colours with your mouse in this Pen by Liam Egan.

Responsive progress bar to donut
A progress bar that turns into a progress circle when space is tight by Mikael Ainalem.

Pure CSS particle animation
Fuzzy particle with random-looking motion, all made with CSS by Takeshi Kano.

Having fun with link hover effects
If you’ve ever wondered how the Outline pulls of its animated squiggly line link hovers, you’ll want to read this tutorial.

T-writer library
Want to make a typing animation? This little library might help. It’s made for exactly that.

I’ll be at these conferences in the next few months. If you’re at one of them too, come say hi!
