The UI Animation Newsletter

Happy Friday! This week’s issue covers two different kinds of animated burgers, using animation to make complex topics approachable, and some very wavy 3D effects.

If you’re newer to web animation, don’t miss the link on using Chrome’s animation dev tools. I made a video about them a while back. The core functionality has remained the same since then, and they're just as useful as ever for your web animation work.

A site full of fluid 3D transitions paired with minimal design. The black and white color palette and ample white space let the wavy type and other transitions take center stage. Navigating can be a little tough, but the effects still make it worth exploring.

When motion creates emotion
This article goes through various ways motion can be used to further the story a design is telling and evoke emotion. Interestingly, many of these examples also have a positive impact on UX despite what the article intro says.

I’ll be at these conferences in the next few months. If you’re at one of them too, come say hi!
