Happy Friday! This week’s issue has some fun stuff. We’ve got some randomized plane trails, two great examples of using motion paths in creative ways, and an inspiring demos round up.

Until next week,

Hello Monday

There are lots of little animated touches throughout this site. I especially like the little dot face that appears when you hover over the images. The hero animation on the home page is really fun too.

Loop animated text
A very fun text effect that falls somewhere between a pinball machine and write-on effect by Cassie Evans.

Plane trails
A calming scene of planes jetting through the sky from Chris Gannon. (It’s different every time you watch it too.)

Race car island
Fun times with motion paths and race cars by Steve Gardner.

IBM glow
An upbeat animated story about how AI can help people be more creative told with just motion and sound. There are some lovely transitions and great sound design in this piece.

Awesome demos round up #10
Another list full of inspiring web experiments to impress you from the folks at Codrops.

High speed traffic lights with Three.js
A tutorial on creating some lovely streaky light effects with Three.js and putting them in motion too.

Dynamic animation with CSS variables
CSS variables can make CSS animation more dynamic than ever. This tweet thread has examples of one way to use this dynamic power.

Just one conference left for me to wrap up this year! If you’ll be there too, come say hi!
