After a couple of months with the team moving through the revolving vacation door, we’re all back from our various summer vacations and it’s a full house – albeit sadly without cute Uncle Jesse.

I love to travel. I love the rush I get when the plane touches down in a city that’s just waiting for me to discover its backstreets and bars. I love hearing different languages, eating different food and meeting great people along the way. The adventure. The unknown.  Something new and unexpected.
Because travel broadens your mind in so many ways, when I return to work after a holiday I find I’m overflowing with new ideas and inspiration. I come home and home is the same. But I am changed.

Travel makes me more creative. It gives me a fresh perspective on things. And it’s not just me. The team have all returned with tales of things they saw or experienced that we think we can bring to or adapt for Cayman shores. We have stories and memories that will help us think about doing things a different way.

So next time you think you don’t have time for a vacation because it will affect your work, stop and think how it COULD affect your work.
As Mark Twain reportedly said – "Throw off the bowlines, sail way from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

What's trending at Tower...

Harneys van wrap

Recently, we designed a van wrap for our client, Harneys. They wanted something professional but still fun that could be used to draw attention to their brand and help them stand out from their competition. You may have seen it while driving around the island already. If not, keep an eye out for it and let us know what you think.

Mercuryman rebranding

It’s that time of year when we are busy working towards January’s Generali Worldwide Mercuryman. Our first order of business was a complete rebranding in honour of the 5th anniversary of the Cayman Islands’ only half iron distance triathlon. Have a look at the fruits of our labour on their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and website. And if you prefer swimming, cycling and running to sitting on the couch eating popcorn and watching The Bachelor, you can register here.

Double Trouble!

Ashani Francis-Collins and Abby Hydes are two new additions to Tower. Although they are both recent graduates and Caymanian, they each bring different skills, personalities and ideas with them to enhance our team. Read more about Ashani and Abby here.

See the new website here - warning, it's awesome.

BLOG > Beware Brands and Influencers: Social Media Advertising is Changing

Those relentless teeth whitening companies’ pearly-white smiles are fading as advertising authorities plan to clamp down on unclear paid social media endorsements. The age-old technique of using ‘influencers’ (using the term loosely for modern days’ sake) to endorse your product and gain exposure has developed exponentially with the rise of social media.

Millennials interest and value in TV advertising is waning, whereas social media marketing budgets are going through the roof. You can tap, swipe and scroll through any social media feed, and it won’t be long before you see an ‘influencer’ gushing on the brilliance of a nutritional product, teeth whitening product, expensive watch, shoes or hair extensions.
