April is here and Spring is in the air - just kidding, we're in Cayman. But it is getting hotter, and as we move closer to the summer months, things are heating up here at Tower as well.
It's been a month of making new connections and gaining new business for us, and we can't wait to share all the exciting events and campaigns we have in store over the next couple of months.
Until then, we'll share what we've been up to over the past month. Sit back, relax, and read all about the ever-exciting life at Tower - from funky socks to groundbreaking flights and everything in between.
What's trending at Tower...
Health City connects with St Maarten
We helped organise a press conference for our client Health City Cayman Islands to announce that, in partnership with SZV Social & Health Insurances, they will now be flying patients on Cayman Airways from St Maarten to Health City for specialised medical treatment.
Tower will once again be working with Cayman Finance to organise and execute its 3rd annual Student Education and Work Experience Programme. If you are interested in becoming a mentor or would like to recommend a student to take part in the programme, send us an email.
Cayman Finance hosts seminar on financial crime with HMRC
Tower worked with Cayman Finance to host a seminar in conjunction with visiting guests from the UK HM Revenue & Customs. The seminar was entitled 'Perspectives on Global Tax and Financial Crime' and was well attended with over 110 members of the financial services industry present.
Tower wins for social media campaign
We are proud to continue our ADDY award winning streak for the fourth consecutive year with a silver award for our new staff campaign. Congratulations to Dart Real Estate for being the other ADDY winner from Cayman and to all other winners around the Caribbean!
Academy Sports Club
Local businesses and other organisations are invited to join Academy Sports Club in a one day corporate 7 a-side football tournament. This fun event is in support of the team's participation in an international tournament this summer. Register here.
FTS will be hosting two seminars, one on the Common Reporting Standard and the other on the labour market in Cayman. More information and registration can be found here.
Rotary Central Science Fair
Tower is sponsoring the Rotary Central Science Fair for the 7th year. We are always excited to be a part of this event that encourages students to have an interest in science. Find out more here.
Here are some local community groups and organisations we've been able to lend a helping hand to - working with inspiring people like this gives us some serious warm fuzzies:
Rocking our socks for down syndrome awareness day
Tower recently joined many other businesses on the island in rocking funky socks to raise down syndrome awareness on the island. We also helped the Special Needs Foundation with some design work to promote World Down Syndrome Day.
Supporting the Cayman Islands U15 Football team
A team of Cayman’s finest young footballers have been selected to represent the Cayman Islands as the National U15 Team. Tower is helping them prepare for their first CONCACAF tournament in August 2017 through assisting their fundraising efforts. Check out their website here for more information on how you can get involved too.
BLOG > It's who you work with
The best way to promote your business is to use the people who are your business. Putting your staff members at the heart of your promotional campaigns gives your target market a personal, intimate connection with your business and your brand.
Take a scroll down Tower's social media and you'll see we are strong believers in this strategy. By including our staff in posts about everything from random happenings around the office to birthdays and more, we are always looking for ways to engage our employees as ambassadors of our brand.
We were extremely proud to have won an ADDY award for our campaign introducing our new staff through our social media assets. This campaign not only allowed our audience to feel as though they were a part of the Tower team, but also helped our new staff members feel more connected to the Tower brand as well.
It is always important for your employees to feel as though they are a part of your business - if their connection is forced, engaging them as brand ambassadors will not be successful.
There are many ways to keep your employees connected and engaged with your business and brand. Staff team building outings can help your employees feel more connected to each other, and therefore more connected to the brand.
Tower recently used this strategy when we entered a team into the recent Off the Beaten Track cross-island relay race. Nothing says team building like running to your death together!
If you want to read more about how you can get your employees engaged in your brand and business, look out for our upcoming blog on the subject next month.
