EEWG NEWSLETTER

January 2014

Further to the December 2013 Newsletter about the London Legacy Development Corporation's public consultation on extension etc. to the Hackney Wick and Fish Island Conservation Areas, I have written the attached letter on behalf of EEWG.  Although the consultation ended on 8 January, it would still help, if you haven't already done so, to send you own very short email in support, as soon as possible.

There has been a residents' petition in Fish Island and that has now got about 450 names, but even so, more messages of support from elsewhere will be a great help.

The East End Preservation Society has written in support of the proposals, and an email letter from Save Britain's Heritage has also been sent today (8 January 2014). The Victorian Society and the Greater London Industrial Archaeology Society have promised to send letters and may have already done so.
