Our Advice Regarding the COVID-19 Vaccine

We strongly encourage pregnant women and women trying to get pregnant to get their COVID-19 vaccines and booster.

For pregnant women, getting the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible is the safest choice to protect them against the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and other professional organizations recommend the vaccine during pregnancy. These organizations note that pregnant women have a higher risk of hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Getting COVID-19 while pregnant increases the risk of preterm birth, preeclampsia, low birth weight and stillbirth. Protect yourself and get vaccinated.
