It’s been a while since I’ve emailed you, but this time I can credit a very full plate – full, I’m happy to report, with all fun, exciting stuff. I wanted to take a moment to share with you some of the new things going on here, particularly if you’re a podcast lover (or just podcast-curious!)
First of all, The Mom Hour is still going strong! Sarah and I are just a few weeks from our one-year anniversary and our 50th episode. The show airs weekly, and recording it is one of the highlights of my week. Sarah and I always have a blast discussing the topics on moms’ minds, and try to provide some encouragement and guidance while reminding listeners that it is really all going to be OK. We’ve had nothing but amazing feedback on the show, and frequently get notes from listeners telling us they are "hooked†or “obsessed†and that we feel like friends. There’s no higher compliment and we’re so grateful!
If you want to see what the buzz is all about, you can visit the show page here: www.themomhour.com, or subscribe in iTunes here.
Second, this week we launched a brand-new DAILY podcast called LifeWork. If you’re interested in business, entrepreneurship, lifestyle design, or just like to listen to interesting conversation on topics like living a better life and pursuing what matters, you’re going to want to check out LifeWork. Co-hosted by my friend and local business-owner Dave Krock, each week LifeWork explores a theme over five days of mini-episodes including tips, tools, insightful conversations and inspiring interviews.
Dave and I just wrapped up our first week’s worth of episodes, and we could use your help! A lot of a fledgling podcast’s success hinges on iTunes ranking and reviews, and if you love the show and think it deserves a larger audience, you can help by listening, subscribing, reviewing, and sharing LifeWork!

Third: apparently podcasting is the new black, and the timing has never been better to move forward on our long-term dream to expand the Life, Listened network of podcasts. We’re going to be looking to add a handful of already established shows to our network, as well as looking for talent to host a couple of new shows we’ve already come up with. We’ll share more information soon, but if you’re an experienced podcaster with a show about food, parenting, home, business or anything that falls under the “life†category that you’d like us to consider adding to the Life, Listened network - or if you’re a great conversationalist who’d love to host a podcast that’s part of an established network - feel free to reply to this email with a “Me! Me! Me!†We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Okay, that’s all for today! Please, if you have a moment this weekend, check out LifeWork and let us know what you think – either by leaving a comment on the show page, responding to this email, finding us on Facebook or Twitter or better yet, leaving a review on iTunes or your preferred podcast platform.
I’ll be in touch very soon with more news about the Life, Listened network and what you can expect coming up. Stay tuned!
