P-EBT is a federal program that provides food benefits for families of school-age children who:
  • were eligible for free or reduced price school meals during the 2020–21 school year.
  • are under 6 and received CalFresh Food benefits between October 2020 and August 2021.
P-EBT cards can be used to purchase fresh, boxed and canned foods from all grocery stores and farmer's markets that accept SNAP benefits.

Families at Emerson that fit this description will be receiving these cards automatically in the mail through the end of 2021.

If your family received one of these cards and does not have immediate need for it, don't discard it just yet! The PTA will be discussing ways in the near future on how to direct these benefits to support students and families at Emerson. So hang on to those cards and stay tuned!

For more information, visit:

For assistance with your P-EBT benefits, call the P-EBT Helpline at (877) 328-9677 (M–F from 6am to 8pm).
