INNOVATIVE IDEAS. REAL RESULTS.
Sagamore Solutions is a monthly e-newsletter featuring efforts to advance our core mission: to build and implement solutions to society's biggest problems.
Harvard sociologist Robert Putnam writes that faith is the #1 predictor for giving and serving in America. Dr. Amy Sherman has been revealing that insight through her scholarship and making it more effectively deployed through her consulting for three decades. This edition of Sagamore’s e-newsletters features Amy’s new book and her recent report published for Duke University. In our Fellows & Partners section, we also feature Sagamore activity that is adjacent to her work.

Agents of Flourishing Book Launch Recap
Sagamore was honored to host Dr. Amy Sherman and celebrate the release of her new book, Agents of Flourishing: Pursuing Shalom in Every Corner of Society.

This book showcases historical and contemporary models of faithful and transformational cultural engagement, with case studies of all kinds of churches advancing human flourishing. It provides a roadmap for leaders wanting to participate in Christ’s mission of holistic renewal.
WATCH HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE EVENT
Dr. Sherman partnered with the Ormond Center at Duke Divinity School (Duke University) to produce the Enterprise Solutions to Poverty Field Guide. The 170+ page field guide is the first-ever landscape analysis of the Christian Enterprise Solutions to Poverty (ES2P) ecosystem. It features a history of the field, 12 key research findings, a snapshot of leading models through multimedia storytelling, and necessary frontiers of practice for the field to advance.

Sagamore Institute’s impact investing platform Commonwealth (p. 96) and our strategic partners Prison Entrepreneurship Program (p. 60) and Purposeful Design (p. 80) are featured in this report—be sure to check them out!
