Welcome the first edition of the INTEGRATE-HTA newsletter!

In this issue you will find information about our project, including the project team and advisory board. Special attention is paid to the stakeholder advisory panels that are set up in different European countries for our case study on palliative care. In addition, we present information on a recently published methodological series on systematic reviews of complex interventions. Finally, you will find information about past and upcoming events.

About the project
INTEGRATE-HTA is a three-year FP7 project that aims to develop guidance for the evaluation of complex health technologies. The tools and methodologies to be developed will be tested in a case study on palliative care. INTEGRATE-HTA is conducted by a consortium of seven partners from five countries and coordinated by the University of Bremen. Stakeholder Advisory Panels
Work Package 7 of INTEGRATE-HTA will apply new HTA methods to a case study using palliative care as a complex intervention. For this purpose, stakeholder advisory panels (SAPs) are set up in each of the partner countries (England, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Norway) and in Poland. Methodological Series on Systematic Reviews of Complex Interventions  
“Systematic reviews of complex interventions” was the theme of a three-day expert meeting that was held in Montebello, Canada in January 2012. It was organized by the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute with support from the Cochrane Collaboration’s Methods Innovation Fund. This meeting resulted in a series of seven methodological articles that was just published in the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology. Read more
Dissemination Activities 
Members of the project team presented work at the annual Colloquium of the Cochrane Collaboration that was held on 19-23 September in Quebec. Read more
 

News & Events 
After the kick-off meeting  on 20-23 February 2013 in Bremen, the project team participated in the meeting organised by the coordinator of EUnetHTA JA 2 on 12 June 2013 in Vienna. The next annual project team meeting will take place on 3-7 November 2013 and will be hosted by SchaRR in Sheffield, UK. Read more
