16 Things You Could Do on Social Media to Promote LakeShore

Facebook and Meetup.com are critical to promoting the club to potential new members, yet we only average one visit and one “Like” a week on Facebook.   YOU are the key to changing that, as each of your posts of event photos and comments increases both our club’s visibility and yours among your Facebook friends.  Did you know that anything you post on LakeShore’s Facebook page also post’s to your personal Facebook page?  That makes it super easy to let your Facebook friends know what a great time you’ve had at a LakeShore event.  You can do the same at LakeShore’s Meetup.com page.  The attached presentation https://www.dropbox.com/s/3zcfbkyz5r9bw9j/presentation.pptx?dl=0 by our own Dani Kirby, gives you step by step instructions, with photos, to show you how to do these and 14 other things with Facebook, Meetup.com, and e-mail blasts to promote the club.  Set yourself a calendar reminder to do one of these at least once a week.  You’ll increase your social media presence and that of club.

Thanks!

Event Re-Cap
China Town Guided Paddle
Sunday, July 10th at 2 pm, we had 8 individuals who met at URBAN KAYAKS to try out a 4 mile round trip paddle from the boathouse in Chinatown to Wolf Point and back.   A few individuals had never paddled before and were able to quickly up the skill.  Being on the South Branch of the river was a totally different experience than the busy North Branch.  We had space to maneuver our kayaks and could hear the birds singing around us.  The time went quickly but it was a great way to try out kayaking from a different location.  Afterwards, a group went to MingHin Restaurant on Archer for an authentic Chinese meal.
