TIPS FOR YOU!
Honest talk about bodies, sex, and sexual abuse is the best way to keep kids safe. There are ways to talk that are comfortable for you and appropriate for your kids!
  • Talk about "safe" and "unsafe" touching rather than "good" or "bad" touching.
  • Use age-appropriate wording.
  • Teach the difference between healthy and unhealthy secrets.
  • Have your child name five people they can talk to if someone was touching them in an unsafe way.
  • Teach children proper names for body parts.
  • Revisit this safety talk often.
