Natema Primary School Teachers Get New Technology!
While the students at Natema Primary School have been benefiting from learning on their KIO KIT tablets for a year now, the teachers at the school have been keen to explore the possibilities of using computers to upgrade their work.
At the end of August, Terrawatu answered their call and presented four new laptops to the fabulous teachers at Natema. And, we have initiated classes on basic computer skills for the faculty.
Continuing financial support is needed to support our awesome IT teachers. If you would like to support, go to Terrawatu's donation page. $125 supports the IT teachers for one month.

Moringa Cultivation Has Begun
The preparation of the land for the creation of new plant nurseries has started at the villages of Mkonoo and Nadosoito. Fences will be constructed soon to keep out hungry livestock. Project Director Angella Marcel held a meeting in the Terrawatu office last week with the women's network to discuss long-term planning, and Co-Director Ole Sululu met with the male elders to get them onboard.
This very exciting new project - initiated in partnership with JSFoundation of Belgium - has the goal of establishing food forests with new varieties of plants in addition to Moringa, all with high nutrient content like grain amaranth and sweet flesh potatoes. Essentially, creating a healing garden that people can use in their kitchen, and later, to sell for business. We will also explore the market for essential oils made from ginger, pawpaw, avocado and lemongrass.
Go to Terrawatu's donation page to support this important initiative. $75 supports the development of the new plant nurseries.
Target your impact with specified support for a child at an orphanage, moringa cultivation or technology for education.
You can easily set up monthly, quarterly or annual giving.
