First Westchester Green Business Industry Forum: Roundtable Discussion for Healthcare Leaders
March 22, 2016 - The Westchester Green Business program has launched a new series focused on the power of industries to grow the green economy. The goal is to bring together leaders within key industries to share best practices and open the door to future collaboration.

The first industry forum convened leaders on the front line of addressing environmental sustainability at Westchester's hospital and healthcare systems. Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett and Business Council of Westchester President and CEO Marsha Gordon kicked off the event and discussed the importance of healthcare and sustainability in Westchester and throughout New York State. The roundtable discussion that followed covered topics ranging from waste management and composting to energy incentives and strategies for engaging employees around sustainability.
Special thanks to Westchester Green Business-Certified members NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (event host) and Montefiore Medical Center for their leadership and support at this inaugural event.

The Westchester Green Business program looks forward to watching these connections grow and facilitating future forums in support of our region’s most dynamic industries.
