Firstly, congratulations to the Bromsgrove School Under 18 Rugby Team for retaining their title at the Natwest Schools Cup Final, for the second time at Twickenham! Fantastic result- well done boys!

Spoke at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Chairman's Dinner, where Members are investing £5billion in more than 700 UK companies- creating growth and jobs.

Spoke at the World Skills UK Reception on apprenticeships and met some of the apprentices who took part in the 2015 World Skills competition.

Visited Automotive Insulations in Rugby on their 50th Anniversary of trading.
Joined charity-bag packers in Bromsgrove to raise money for the Rory the Robot Appeal for the Alexandra Hospital. Thanks to all that helped raise over £1,400 on the day.

Honoured to speak at the
Seva Mandir UK reception on how UK business with India benefits both countries. Seva Mandir is a voluntary organisation working on rural and tribal development issues in Rajsthan.

Launched the revamped Post Office in Romsley.
Welcomed the positive news on
International Women's Day, that women make up 50% of
UK entrepreneurs under 35- the highest of the countries surveyed. Great progress made, but there is still more to do.
Opened up and toured Nestlé's new factory in Tutbury, Derbyshire with CEO & Chairman, Fiona Kendrick. This £325 investment creates 425 jobs, another valuable contributor fuelling the Midlands Engine.
Opened the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) at Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick; leading global research on hybrid, electric and low carbon vehicles and further bringing power to the Midlands.

Loved the questions from pupils at Lickey Hills Primary School for democracy week.

Delighted to join so many talented and ambitious apprentices to
launch National Apprenticeship Week 2016 at the Shard.

Visited some of the construction students and apprentices at the new Barnet and Southgate College campus with Zac Goldsmith.

Great to visit the new site of STEAMhouse project in Birmingham, where
Government is investing £14million to create a new innovation centre and boost productivity in the West Midlands.

Good to meet local energy business, Worcestershire Energy for Business in Bromsgrove and learn about the
Worcestershire Business Energy Scheme
Finally, it is encouraging news for Bromsgrove with unemployment down to 2%- a fall of 67% since 2010. Still more to do, but good progress!
