Visited the diligent workers at Port Talbot. It was an honour to meet with some of the hardest working men and women in Britain. I will do everything I can to support them.

I had a positive and constructive meeting with the unions, MPs and UK Steel to discuss government action- all are committed to work together for a long-term, viable solution.

Updated the House of Commons on government action to help find a buyer for Tata Steel's UK operations and to secure a viable future for steel.
Attended an important Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Conference in Brussels to work out a way forward to tackle the problems caused by global steel overproduction.

Visited Tata Steel's Research and Development Centre at the University of Warwick to see the innovative developments in British steel.
Met with a local West Midlands steel company to discuss some of the challenges faced by smaller operators and to see what more we can do to help.

Met with degree apprentices at Manchester Metropolitan University - the inspiring, enthusiastic, digital leaders of the future.

Joined Brain Tumour Research's Wear a Hat Day. Grateful for all their work in life-saving research.
Fantastic to see 37 companies from the Midlands Engine winning
Queens Awards for Innovation and International Trade, including Bromsgrove business, Winsted.

Met with my inspiring constituent Rebekah in Parliament for a Juveline Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Reception.

Great to meet Hannah Yellowitz, the new Director of the fabulous Artix Arts Centre in Bromsgrove. Encouraged to hear her impressive plans for our local arts centre.

Inspiring to meet with Dr Waqar Azmi, Chair of Srebrenica UK - and hearing of the incredible work they do to help survivors of the Bosnian War.
Met with the Bromsgrove Economic Development Group to discuss how we can do more to boost local growth and jobs. An important matter for the future of our town.

Great to welcome my constituent Alex for work experience in parliament- thanks for all of your help!
Pleased to report Bromsgrove unemployment remains low at just 1% and youth unemployment is down by 68% since 2010. There is still more to do, but this remains good progress.
