Welcome to the March 2017 edition of Sajid Javid MP's newsletter.

to the March edition of my e-Newsletter.

On Friday 3rd March I'll be hosting my annual Bromsgrove Jobs Fair. There's over 55 exhibitors confirmed offering over 1700 jobs. There will also be plenty of apprenticeships and voluntary positions available. It's going to be a great opportunity to talk to employers directly, seek interview advice and attend a CV clinic. If you would like any more information please get in touch.

It's important for me to hear your comments, thoughts, and feedback, so please don't hesitate to contact me.

Great to meet the major Bromsgrove employer and financial security provider, Phoenix Life, with Cllr Geoff Denaro. Thanks for your commitment to our local community.

I enjoyed speaking at the fundraising business lunch for the brilliant Primrose Hospice. Thank you to all those that came along.

I had a good round table discussion with West Midlands council leaders to talk about the Midlands Engine and devolution funding.

I was delighted to announce the new Enterprise Zone in Dudley. All part of firing up the Midlands Engine.

Great to catch up with Sue Baxter, recently elected Chair of the National Association of Local Councils. And a constituent!

On Friday 10th March there will be a great opportunity for Bromsgrove business leaders to learn more about the important work of the 'Rory the Robot Appeal'. If you would like more information, get in touch with the Chairman of the Appeal.

It's good news that the unemployment rate is at an eleven year low and the employment rate is at a record high. This means more jobs and opportunities for working people.

I'm also pleased that youth unemployment in Bromsgrove is down by 68% since 2010. I'm looking forward to helping more people at my Jobs Fair on Friday 3rd March. I hope you'll come along and join me on the day.
