Recent Activity

Joined the Bromsgrove Royal British Legion to launch this year's Poppy Appeal and sold poppies with the Legion in Bromsgrove town centre.

Took part in the Remembrance Day parade through Bromsgrove town centre to St. John's Church.

Attended St. John's Remembrance service, laid a wreath at the Burma Star memorial, and lunched at the Bewell Head Working Men's Club.

Met Michael Murray, Senior Development Surveyor, to discuss the new £1billion town centre redevelopment project at Longbridge.

Attended a House Meeting hosted by a resident of the Oakalls to discuss the Oakalls development

Visited the new "The Factory" youth club, a £5 million development, in Longbridge with manager Ed Wright.

Met Dr. Dan Poulter MP, the Health Services Minister, to discuss the Alexandra Hospital with him and invite him to vist the Alex in the new year, which he accepted.

Hosted the winners of this year's Bromsgrove Schools Debating Competition in Westminster.

Met Maggie Doyle, the new Worcestershire Poet Laureate, to discuss her role in promoting poetry and literature throughout the county.

Presented GCSE certificates and spoke to pupils at South Bromsgrove High School.

Met Hagley Parish Councillors to discuss the proposed Cala Homes development.

Visited All Saints' Church in Bromsgrove with 
church warden Tessa Carrick to see the results of the recently completed renovation work. 

Met regional MEPs in my constituency office to discuss issues affecting Bromsgrove and Worcestershire.

Santa's Grotto at Littleheath Garden Centre, which is raising funds for Primrose Hospice.

Participated in an 'Any Questions' event held for pupils from local schools at NEW College in Redditch.

Took part in the Rotary Democracy Forum in Birmingham, attended by over 150 school pupils from the surrounding area. 

Met Simon Hairsnape, Chief Officer (Designate) NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group, to discuss local healthcare matters.

The Health Minister will visit Redditch next year as campaigners continue to press the case for vital services to be retained at the Alexandra Hospital. Dr Dan Poulter agreed to make the trip, provisionally pencilled in for January, on the request of Sajid Javid, MP for neighbouring Bromsgrove.
