Recent Activity

Observed the Act of Remembrance in Bromsgrove town centre, then visited the Royal British Legion’s stall with Patrick Smith, chairman of the Bromsgrove Legion.
 
Joined the parade through the High Street to St John the Baptist Church on Remembrance Sunday, where was I honoured to do a reading in the Remembrance service.  
 
Laid a wreath at the Burma Star memorial, and went to the Bromsgrove Sports and Social Club to meet local veterans.

Met with the other MPs for Worcestershire and officials from NHS Worcestershire and Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust to discuss improvements to local NHS services.

Attended the opening of the new Victorian Market in Rubery.

Toured NEW College's new £3.5 million extension with the Skills Minister, John Hayes MP.
 
Marked ‘Road Safety Week’ by taking part in an advanced driving demonstration.
 
Opened the country’s latest LPG refuelling station at Hopwood Park Services.
 
Met exchange students from China, who are spending two weeks at Hagley Primary School, in Westminster.

Attended the Birmingham Rotary Democracy Forum and spoke to a large group of students about issues that affect them and the country.


Joined the Court Leet's annual Bailiff's Dinner.

Met with Energy & Utility Skills Limited to discuss apprenticeships and the Government's skills programme.

The Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning was in Bromsgrove last Thursday (November 24) to officially open NEW College's new £3.5million extension.
