BIG NEWS! In a first of its kind project in America, we’re launching the ’Meet Your Farmer’ digital app. Download the free app and you’ll be able to point your smartphone at the Meet Your Farmer stickers around the store and a short video will automatically play about the farmer and their produce. You can literally meet your farmer without leaving the store!  Join us at the co-op's 10 Year Block Party (6:30 - 7:30pm) to see this app launch.  Check out one of the several national press pieces on this app HERE.
Be sure to head upstairs to our wellness department and cast your vote for the 2015 board candidates.  You can see them speak at 6:30pm on Saturday 19th at the GBCFC 10 Year Birthday Block Party.
BLOCK PARTY SCHEDULE

5:00pm - 6:30pm:  Farmers market, bands, DJs, carnival games, beer, food, etc.

6:30pm - 7:00pm:  Board nominee speeches & GM 2015 update

7:00pm - 7:30pm:  Meet Your Farmer App Launch & 10 Year co-op video/audio memory recap

7:30pm - 9:00pm:  More partying...Farmers, food, games, beer, and then some :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! The Great Basin Community Food Cooperative turned 10 years old on Monday September 14th, and there is so much to celebrate. Mid-year co-op finances are in and we are staying in business! We came back 122% from 2014’s $184,000 loss, and we are finally making a profit for the first time in our history, read our incredible comeback story here.
